As vivid as the call was yesterday, I remember Lindsey contacting us. I remember the first phone call when she asked “Would you come to Newport to photograph our wedding?”. “Of course!!!” I said. . . .”it’s only like a 5 hour drive from Phoenix. . . .No problem!”. Lindsey chuckled a little and replied. . . .”Oh, no, not California. . . .Rhode Island?”.
Rhode Island doesn’t quite look like California. . . . .
After chatting with these two, and it was pretty obvious that beyond the wedding, they wanted to take some time after to really celebrate the event, the location, and their impeciable taste in wedding style. So we set up an afternoon to photograph an Adventure Session for them.
One of my favorite parts of these shoots is the unknown. Especially with destination photography. We never quite know what we will find. . . .where we will find it. . . . or where to even look. Most always Christy and I just spend a day and drive around. Find something, somewhere that inspires us ABOUT them. And almost like it’s meant to be, we find something that reflects the couple and their relationship.
Dramatic. . . .adventurous. . . . . intimate. Create the adventure you desire, and you’ll never lead a boring life.
Rob & Lindsey. . . .Christy and I are still in awe of your wedding, this location. . . .and the two of you.
